Ambigrams.

I have altered what my perception brief is going to be about. I am going to focus on type design, and its context within illusions. Basically an extension of my magic brief but covering a larger topic area and looking into a variety of different 'illusions' or trickery with type.

Above is a start of an ambigram spelling out love and you. It needs some work, but I can see it coming together.

this scans above show me exploring the possibility of creating an 'ambigram font' so the letters read the same upside down. I need to think about where I am going with the project. I think it would be good to create a variety of ambigrams that could create good pieces in themselves but then could be applied to other contexts. So the I love you ambigram would work well as a valentines day card. Maybe it could be attached to a campaign about seeing things from both sides?
