Magic Typeface.

By the end of the week, I want to have ISTD Magic and Connections (&extension) Finished. I have spent too much time on these briefs so would like to get them out of the way. 

I have decided to give a context to my illusions concept. The brief wanted it to be a branding brief, but I thought I could change it to an exhibition brief so that it has more of a real purpose. 

Deliverables:

1. 10 posters/exhibition images.

2. Brand the Exhibition.

3. Flyer to promote the Exhibition.

4. Give away Postcards at the exhibition.

5. Typeface for descriptions/information at the exhibition. 

6. Information Booklet/exhibition guide.

This is a promotional flyer/invite for the exhibition, making use of the typeface that i created. After flicking through a book, called typeface as program - I thought I would break the use of grids and try a more experimental design. I started of with a basic layout, to decide on what information to use. In the end, i decided to use an existing typeface to contrast with mine. I feel this adds more of an experimental looks. My typeface has a kind of pixel feel to it, which usually I am not to keen on so I felt a contrast typeface would enhance the feel of this design. I quite like this flyer so far, I might try and experiment a bit more with colour too - but it is a starting point and printing onto different stock might heighten the design more.  Because I am using this typeface throughout my design work, It could get a bit dry and repetitive, using this 'contrasting' type avoids this. It would be good to create this typeface myself too - it might be quite fun to make too as I usually stick to grid like fonts.
